Distilling a new way of understanding gastronomy
La Destilateca is an artisanal micro-distillery that extracts the soul of its ingredients in small, limited productions.
The new brand, which we created for its launch together with Carles Bonnin, its founder and master distiller, reflects his bold, passionate, and straightforward personality and is summed up by the idea “Spirits with spirit.” A work philosophy based on respect for the product, the desire to tell stories through ingredients, and the boldness to evoke sensations, emotions, and memories through each creation.

An author’s logotype
The logotype, developed in collaboration with Gina Serret, a specialist in calligraphy and lettering, acts as the signature that identifies the brand and helps convey its human and personal character. Its stroke, inspired by that of a marker pen, also reinforces the determined and confident attitude of its creator.
Typefaces inspired by printing presses and typewriting
The world of movable-type printing and mechanical typing inspired us to express the artisanal nature of Carles Bonnin’s creative process. The inclusion of intentional “imperfections” — such as rotated paragraphs, misaligned words, or letters swapped for numbers — helped us close the conceptual circle and reinforce this handcrafted feeling.


Packaging that transports us to the industrial style of the mid-20th century
A bottle reminiscent of old apothecaries, adorned with a label that echoes the industrial style of mid-20th-century artisanal distilleries. To achieve this aesthetic, we used resources such as ruling lines, typewriter-like patterns, borders, and boxed elements. To add the author’s touch and highlight the limited-edition concept, parts of the label were intentionally left blank to be filled in by hand by Carles Bonnin himself.
Reflecting boldness through the photographic style
Following the chosen color palette — in which black plays a starring role to convey the brand’s strong personality — we defined a photographic style with high contrast that emphasizes shadows and dark tones. To bring this style to life, we conducted a photoshoot with photographer Israel Fernández, who helped capture the brand’s personality in every image.

An e-commerce platform that brings these creations closer to gastronomy lovers
We designed a website that gathers all the stories and collaborations carried out at La Destilateca between Carles Bonnin and other gastronomy professionals (chefs, mixologists, pastry chefs, etc.). It also functions as an e-commerce platform, making the limited-edition spirits, liqueurs, and hydrolats available to the public.
